50 Cent's DSIn other related 50 Cent video game gossip - feast your eyes on the rapper’s customized Nintendo DS. Apparently 50 Cent wasn’t feeling the silver bling of Nintendo’s portable console, and settling for a Nintendo DS skin certainly wouldn’t be P.I.M.P.  The result is a custom made urban camouflaged Nintendo DS that has “G-Unit” emblazoned on the front cover. Now that’s gangsta!

50 Cent: Bulletproof

Rapper 50 Cent will be the main character in an upcoming video game set to be released later on this year. Fiddy will be playing himself in 50 Cent: Bulletproof.

50 Cent: Bulletproof will star hip-hop artist 50 Cent, including his likeness and voice. The game will have a plot that focuses on New York’s drug underworld, putting players to the task of uncovering an international conspiracy.

Okay so maybe we don’t have many details on the game to make it sound better than it looks – however, the game’s visuals look great. GameGossip has more screenshots for your viewing pleasure.

EA Next Gen MaddenDuring Sony’s annual retailer gathering Destination Playstation, Sega announced that the price of their video games for next generation consoles will most likely start at $59.99. They went on to speculate that EA Sports games could start at a bank-breaking $69.99. That’s roughly a $10-$30 price increase from the current pricing scheme. However, if the games are worth it, gamers are sure to cough up the dough – especially when NFL games are EA exclusive. We can probably expect to see something similar to the Platinum Hits category Xbox currently employs to help entice more game sales.

Mario 128TotalVideoGames has some photos of what might be the next Mario game from Nintendo. No word yet if Nintendo plans to launch the next Mario game for its next generation gaming system, code named Revolution, or if it will grace the Gamecube instead. The have a few more images up at their site, all of which are fuzzy and dim - two indicators that this is probably someone trying to put one over on us.

Logic 3 PSP KeyboardGameSeek will be offering a keyboard attachment for the PSP that doubles as a screen protector. There’s not much information or even a feature list on the website, but by the picture you can see it’s a small fold-away keyboard. I don’t know if I would want to use my PSP as a word processor per se, but this attachment would be handy when surfing the web or jotting down some quick notes. Get your hands on one on May 27th for £19.99.

E10+ RatingThe E.S.R.B. has decided to add a new rating to its arsenal – E10+. This rating will be approved for audiences of at least 10 years of age. Seems that they want to be more specific on the age groups each game is tailored for since this rating tag will be for the following video game description:

“moderate amounts of cartoon, fantasy or mild violence, mild language and/or minimal suggestive themes.”

Are we getting too specific here? Probably not since most parents are all for ratings, especially since most don’t know what most games are even about. All they have to go on when at the store is the box art and the rating sticker.  Expect to see the new labels on video games soon.

New Nintendo DS Colors

Once again, Japan gets a one up on America in terms of new hardware colors via Nintendo. This time it is in the form of the Nintendo DS. Nintendo has introduced four new colors, adding to the already stylish Platinum Silver. They are Graphite Black, Pure White, Turquoise Blue, and Candy Pink. The white and pink units also have white face buttons, a white backing, and a white stylus (the other new colors still feature the standard black). Will these see the light of day in America? I would imagine so, as Nintendo likes to mix things up over here as well. I just wouldn’t expect to see all the colors, as evidenced by their refusal to release many of the special edition Game Boy Advance SP’s in the US, as well as the Spice colored Gamecube.
